Il colpevole

L’Iceberg che causó il naufragio del Titanic. Questo reperto è stato fotografato dal commissario di bordo della SS Prinz Adalbert, la mattina del 15 Aprile 1912, a qualche chilometro di distanza dove si è consumata la tragedia.

Una coppa per il salvataggio

Il Carpathia giunse sul luogo del disastro, dopo aver percorso una pericolosa rotta attraverso i campi di ghiaccio, alle ore 4:00 del 15 aprile, un’ora e mezzo dopo il naufragio del Titanic. Il  comandante Rostron ricevette la medaglia d’oro e una coppa d’argento, presentata da Margaret Brown, una delle superstiti del Titanic.
